Mary Lederleitner, PhD

Executive Director for Missional Intelligence

Mary Lederleitner is the Executive Director of a new ministry called “Missional Intelligence” that serves under the auspices of Faith & Learning International. Prior to this role for twenty years Mary served with the Wycliffe Global Alliance, most recently as a cultural and educational consultant on their executive leadership team. She has traveled and served in many nations. The focus of her ministry now and then has been to learn with leaders in the global church for greater fruitfulness. As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, people serving and leading in mission around the globe need to always be learning so they might do their best work and not accidentally hinder God’s purposes. Good intentions are not sufficient to ensure good outcomes.

Mary has a M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Wheaton College and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and she serves as an adjunct professor in the graduate programs of both institutions. She transitioned out of Wycliffe into “Missional Intelligence” so she would have more time for research and writing, and so she could serve more ministries. She is the author of Cross-Cultural Partnerships: Navigating the Complexities of Money and Mission and it is now in its fifth printing. She also authored a book that was published in the Fall of 2018 titled Women in God’s Mission: Accepting the Invitation to Serve and Lead. Both are InterVarsity Press publications. Mary also serves on the Wheaton College Board of Visitors, the Board Nominating Committee for the Wycliffe Global Alliance, and the boards of Catalyst Services and OM Global.
