Despite the recognition that the best mentoring experience is the result of an intentional and committed relationship between mentor and mentee, there remains confusion over what a good mentor does to ensure the best possible outcome for the mentee. There are also a significant number of challenges in the life of a healthcare missionary that compromise best practices in mentoring. This talk will focus on the essential commitments of both mentor and mentee to maximize the successful integration of new cross-cultural workers, no matter the service location or working environment.
